Is the tetrahedron rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise?

So, what does it seem to you, does the tetrahedron on the bottom of the web-page rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise as you move the mouse from the left to the right?

It's an ambiguous figure. There are many such out there. In this case, there are two possible perspectives: one where you are slightly below the figure and looking up; the other where you are slightly above the figure and looking down.

The mind tends to resolve one way or the other, but you can switch back and forth with some concentration.
The Necker cube is far more common than the tetrahedron, but here is a link for more:

My answer is, yes.
This is a good visual example of relativity. Both answers can be correct at the same time.

Is the tetrahedron transparent? If not, there is only one answer. Otherwise there are two.

I don't understand.
If I move the mouse off screen and go around again I can make the thing rotate in any direction.

Or am I missing something?

Edit to add. Why is that purple bouncy thing still there, why do people do this? For twenty odd years now I've got by with pressing the home key or click the top of the scroll bar.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
