The Romanoffs

The Romanoffs is an upcoming tv series created by Matthew Weiner.
I guess the premise of the show is kind of stupid: why would they pick that family? I mean what's the idea behind it and what's the point of it all? And then I remembered there was one episode of Frasier when Frasier and his brother thought they themselves are Romanoffs, so I guess there is some sort of real mania about it that people want to be descendants of Romanoffs.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Oops I forgot to mention that The Romanoffs is a contemporary series "set around the globe, centering on separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family." And thus Frasier reference.
