There are all sorts of bullshit attempts from trying to square old mythology and even new age si fi garbage trying to create a fictional "forever" when it comes to our individual consciousness.

There is no God that magically handed down our consciousness. But even with new age si fi idiots whom try to claim that the universe itself is a giant living thing.


EVOLUTION is why humans have individual consciousness, but we were not alive before we were born we were not conscious  before we were born.

YOU CANNOT simply have a wave function act like a in tact human brain. You cant have a single atom act as an intact brain. This fucked up logic would be like assuming your car tire, which is only one part of the car, can act like the entire car. 

Our consciousness is a temporary emergent property, not a starting point. 

It is absolutely TRUE that the atoms in our bodies are the result of prior stars dying. But that does not make them our current in tact functioning brains as individual atoms. Point is, there is no damned forever as far as us as individuals.
