He made me laugh a lot. He inspired me to look up the word "Vorlon" and the term "Panamanian Petting Zoo". We shared a few innuendos about the name "Santorum" ala Dan Savage. I will.miss him!

Rather than give vorlon the standard "retired staff orange" username, we thought it would be far more fitting to give him a custom rainbow flair. If you clear your cache you'll be able to see it, but if there's some caching weirdness going on, here is what his username looks like:

I will miss you, Vorls. Your humor and insight were one of a kind, unique not just in this virtual space, but in life itself.

Well, as good as, anyway.
I will never forget the stories of Emergency Backup Cat Number 2.

I don't know about that.... those were pretty cool.
And afterwards we could all go out and sack a monastery or something. V would like that.
But a brilliant idea for a tribute, Divi Tiberio.

I'm touched by the way Tibs & forum staff are handling Vorls' passing. So nice to see him getting a custom rainbow flair.
It shows that, beneath the 0's and 1's and despite the sometimes sharp-edged squabbles, we're all real people with the same needs. To be remembered, not forgotten, and to feel like you matter.
Nota bene - I couldn't help but laugh at Fireball's post reminiscent of Vorls' comments about his Emergency Auxiliary Backup Cat #2. I always thought it was funny that he called his cat that.

And yes the Rainbow is a very good idea .

We should have a Viking boat funeral in Vorl's honour.
All we need is a boat and "volunteers".
Not trying to make light of this loss. Vorls, if he was here, would be laughing with us.

My heart is heavy and it hurts. I looked up to him like he was a brother. He was a great friend who will be missed very much.
