I used to get a real laugh out of hearing my daughter squeal when she sat on the cold rim.
We eventually came to an agreement that I would put the seat down and she would flush after a poo. :-)

I never understood why women have difficulty checking the seat before they sit. Men can learn it just fine, but when some girl sits in toilet water somehow it's the fault of the last person to come out of the room.

Fair play- I lift it when I use it, she (sometimes) has to put it down when she uses it, since I may have had a squat, and it would already be down.
