Can you make the solution add up? I'll be impressed

The goal here is to be the first one to solve for both values of ? within the sequence.
1-4
2-5
3-8

11-17
12-18
Hint: The values for ? are both found at least once within the numbers on the same side.
Winner gets a bag of goldfish crackers and a juice box.

I'm 99% sure this isn't a simple numeric sequence thing....
