Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
December 10, 2018 at 9:39 pm
This was a TV series based on the well-known movie franchise. I bought both seasons on Amazon Video and was pleased with it.
Like many, I loved the first two movies and gagged with disgust on all the movies which came after. I was pleasantly surprised by TSCC. One of my biggest doubts going in was that any actress could fill the shoes of Linda Hamilton playing Sarah Conner. I think Lena Headey does a superb job. Thomas Dekker as John Connor is a bit whiny but of course, this IS a teenager. The real treat is Summer Glau playing the reprogrammed terminator Cameron.
Any Terminator fans should check this out. I think it beats the hell out of any of the movies after T2.

I have this series in my DVD collection too. Indeed, Lena Heady and Summer Glau were perfect for their roles. My only criticism is that it was abruptly "terminated" after only two seasons. There was a rumor that the Spike Channel was going to buy the rights to the series for a third season, but unfortunately that never materialized.

I loved 1st season but then 2nd season became boring and I stopped watching.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I agree for the most part that the first season was better. That said, I thought the 2nd season episode, "Goodbye To All That" was the best of the series.
