But there is a big difference between those two and the Sirat.

The Sirat is a bridge which is extremely long and thinner than a hair, and again, it fits with the description of a cosmic string, unlike the ones in your links.

'Bifrost' is just that silly

There is also the Chakras - Hindu religion that vcan be viewed as a 'rainbow bridge' also found in the Kabbalah. It is nothing new and I don't think your book of fairy stories is valid ...my statement stands.

But still, I'm about 90% confident that the bridge is a cosmic string because of the close relationship between the two. If it's not, then what else can it be?

Oh..I dont know..perhaps a poetic way to describe real life times as viewed from the Islamic mythoogical persepective. When I read it, it made much more sense from that perspective than "cosmic strings."

Also, this is yet another example of taking mystical, symbolic talk and trying to spin it into an actual scientific theory. That is why most religions deal with symbolic speech, so that those who listen to it can hear what they want to hear. It is nothing new, and has even been a tactic of lyric writing for the last few hundred years. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd were very adept at writting lyrics in this style. Its a win/win situation to do public writing in this fashion, as you will get the most agreement from saying "something", which in fact is really nothing.

This is very true. The way to Asgard in the Nordic Religions was a rainbow bridge called "bifrost". It is also guarded by Heimdal, who has a sharp sword (sharp ends), and to fall off would be disasterous, meaning that instead of going to the mighty mead halls of Odin, Thor, and the Aesir in Valhalla, you would fall to Hellheim or Niflheim. Usually to travel the bridge, you would need a valkyrie to help you across. The valkyrie were said to be very swift, being shown riding winged horses. So they would swiftly cross the bridge in that fashion (blink of an eye). Some Vikings could attempt to cross the bridge themselves (crossing slowly), but all Viking dead were to be judged by heimdal near its end, and either he let you past or he fought you off.

Now Rayaan..this is the part where you say Bifrost isnt ANYTHING like string theory..and only YOUR religion can claim string theory.
