Fancy Smancy!

My first TV was A 9" B&W set that I saved up $50 for.  That was back when you had the console TVs that were more like a piece of furniture with a wood frame.  Those were the days.  Now people are fighting over the best 4K, and even 8K TV.  People never cared until they started showing up in store rooms.  Now it's about getting the latest and greatest until the next better model comes out.

I had to get a convertor for my VHS tapes.  Normally I wouldn't care but there were times when I was in the Army that we had film crews that would take footage of us during training and you could buy the compilation of the various events.  Of course the tapes deteriorate, so I had to save them.  That way every fives years, I can relive getting gassed and hacking spit all over.

Sailors get large lump sums for extending their enlistment. I bought a 1976 Corvette.

Well played.  It takes a special kinda person to be a sailor.  My uncle was one.  The first recruiter that started chasing me down was Navy and I darn near joined.  I just didn't feel like I would do well long term on a ship or a submarine.

I love the old muscle cars that were all about the horses and cruisin with the top down.  Now it either looks like a spaceship or a box, and is expected to get 60 mph.  Would take a 76 Vette over a 2018 Ford Focus any day of the week. Smile

I'm Sailor Moon, but only on weekends my wife is out of town. I'll be I could get a Corvette out of it if I played my cards right! Tongue

Hey, Cosplay is a big thing. Smile

I might just need to be the Incredible Hulk for a day.  24 hours of smashing random stuff for stress relief.
