I can see how blackface was ridiculously racist and offensive to black people.
But I can tell when blackface is used in that village's traditional ceremonies and in comedy sketches that the intent is not pro racist.
So I would say that blackface is almost always offensive.
I'm not going to take offence to something 100 percent of the time because I was told to, like a good little sheep.
I will make up my mind as I go.

If it for no reason continues to use black face the intent seems secondary

I'd say that white people imitating the skin color of any non caucasian race (don't forget the native americans, hispanics, asians, indians, .......... that have been mimicked) could be found offensive. Whether it's always offensive is questionable.

One of my guys was facing the wrong way when a bomb went off. He was black and blue from the waist up and his eyes were bloodshot. He got a little tired of people wanting to take pictures.
