Well Done, Yanks!!
I don't normally follow footie, but since this is sure to have Trump gnashing his dentures, I'm all for it.

Yea, not into football either, but president shithole shot his mouth off to Megan a couple days ago because she said she wasn't going to go to the White House and the dipshit said, "You have to win first"..... Well well, looks like Megan had the last laugh.

Looks like the fine dumpster dwellers at Farts News failed to employ a delay at a sports bar.

Trump said he's going to invite the team to the White House 'win or lose', which he hasn't done yet.  As far as I can tell, he hasn't even congratulated the team.  Melania Trump and Barack Obama both have. Melania has (I suspect) because she understands the appeal of football on the world stage, and Obama because he's gracious and classy beyond belief.

correction:  Trump has congratulated the team.  My bad.

Yea the asshole did. But that was after shitting on Megan Rapinoe, one of their players, because she supported Kaepernick and because she supports LGBTQ.

Fuck that orange bully!

The weird thing is I was actually following the quarter-finals for a bit, mainly because England’s team got to stream their game at Glastonbury and I found out about that when I had to do my big write-up about this year’s festival for Anglotopia. Sadly, it did not come home. After two consecutive 3-0 games, they came in fourth place.

Yeah, it’s worth noting that a lot of what I know about soccer (besides the rudiments of the sport) came from researching to prepare for the Deep Hurting Project review of United Passions. Well, that and some small bits I learned last year because the Gallagher Brothers’ feud touched upon their hopes for the chances of the English men’s team in the World Cup. Awkwardly, I was forced to admit that Liam actually had a legit point when he said that fourth place was actually great because they hadn’t gone that far since 1990.

I think VAR is spoiling the game. If you are in line you are NOT offside. Ruling out a goal because someone's big toe was in front of the defence is ridiculous.. Ian Rush's nose was offside for all of his goals.

I think it would be cool if Obama rented a venue somewhere and invited the team - after giving Trump the chance to invite them first and letting them give their "fuck you"s. Would that be great or what?

I follow sports not at all, so whatever I see in the way of sports and conflict with politicians is fairly much incidental to the political. Seeing that the chump got hissy and tweeted shit about a soccer player leads me to ask, just why did that reporter even ask if the gal was going to the White House in the first place? It just seems like rabble rousing to me. The reporter has to know that the chump is going to respond. But, here it is, ladies and gentlemen, the alleged leader of the free world can be easily baited into a Twitter war by a simple questionHehe  Dayam.
