I'm seeing my new PCP next week. I'll ask if he coordinates with his patients in ordering prescription medications from Canada. One problem I can already foresee is that all the Canadian pharmacies whose websites I've looked at, so far, say it takes 2-4 weeks to fill prescription orders. I'm going to have to put up with the ridiculous drug prices here for a while longer.  Dodgy

It seems as if I might not have to worry about paying outrageous prices for Eliquis after all. My new PCP reviewed my medical files and said that Eliquis is for preventing blood clots. It has nothing to do with regulating my heartbeat. He has referred me to a cardiologist and told me that, since I'm already taking two blood thinner drugs, I should discontinue the use of Eliquis for now. I'll receive more instructions on the appropriate medication(s) during my next appointment.  Deadpan

I visited my cardiologist again this month and he still insists that I should be taking Eliquis. Again, I looked into buying this drug from a firm in Canada and discovered that I could get it for a bit less than 1/3 the price I'd be paying here. I forwarded the necessary paperwork to Maple Leaf Meds and am now awaiting an Email confirmation of the order.

My son-in-law does not currently have medical insurance. A couple months ago he went to fill a couple prescriptions knowing they would be expensive. I suggested to my daughter that he try using one of those Good RX cards but Mr. Too Proud wouldn't even ask about it. He paid $240.00 for the meds. This past week he went for refills and the pharmacy tech suggested Good RX (S-I-L didn't have to humble himself). His meds were $48.00. He can be such a dumb ass...but I knew that.
