That sounds REALLY good.  There are stories - hopefully just an urban legend - about people putting sour cream on tacos. *shudder*

This is true. I am not one of those people.

We actually use plain yogurt in our house. It tastes delicious!

Oh, and I brought tacos:

You ever see two rats in a gluetrap?

That's why I can't look at taco's.

Welcome Vince. Smile

That is disgusting.  Thanks for the welcome.

You are, of course, able to put whatever you want on your tacos.  Free choice in taco toppings is an innate human right, dating back at least to the Early Paleolithic (fossilized tacos have been found at Olduvai Gorge).

Personally, though, I like to limit my taco ingredients to actual food items, which (naturally enough) excludes yoghurt and sour cream.

We need to agree on the definition of food item.  I consider yogurt and sour cream food items.  Also, I am a young taco creationist, I believe tacos were magically created about 6000 years ago, with sour cream.

Putting sour cream on a taco is like putting ground glass on a hamburger, or eating a steak smothered in spark plugs.

I KNEW you were a YCT!  I've seen your textbooks:

Mmmmm…sour cream on tacos. Yummy. I've been in Texas almost 13 years now and went from someone who had the occasional taco to someone whose favorite restaurants are those that serve Tex-Mex.

Brisket quesadillas...yummy. With sour cream. Nachos with blanco queso. Frijoles negros refritos...wrapped in a tortilla and dipped in sour cream.

Guess I know where I will stop to pick up lunch tomorrow.
