Can it hurt to cross-reference where you think you stand politically against their criteria?

Can it help?

Quizlets like these are on a par with, 'Which Star Wars character are you?' or 'Which Muppet would you be if you were a Muppet?'  Pointless time wasting.

To save anyone the trouble of asking, Chewbacca and Sweetums.

Hardly true at all. I suppose the only authority you're concerned with consulting is yourself Hehe

I couldn't imagine taking myself that seriously. But hey, live your best life LMAO

Not saying YOU shouldn't take the quiz.  By all means, if you're so monumentally unaware as to where you fall on the political spectrum, go to it.

It's a little troubling that you find an online quiz to be an 'authority' on what you think.  Perhaps you could take a quiz to find out your favourite colour, or what sort of films you like.

It's not an authority by any means and I never claimed it was. I think it's impossible for a series of questions to ever truly define one's political standings. But it's the most in-depth test out there, and someone might be curious as to where they believe they stand versus where they actually stand. Or it could be a good tool for younger people. Or it could be just something fun to do. Like a color quiz! Turns out, I'm a sage kind of guy. And Scorsese is probably my favorite director. Hilarious

Once again, I couldn't imagine taking myself so seriously. You must be fun at parties lol

I ended up in exactly the same place as the OP. The questions were worded to make you come out on the left.

They only give two extreme options to choose from. The option opposed to a liberal agenda is the worst opposing option available. There is no way to choose any other. I came out as liberal because I care more about people than corporations.

Here's one I did two years ago:

And I just remembered I also did it about two months ago:

RE: Political compass
And for some sort of perspective, here’s a chart of several ideologies and where they fit on the political compass:

I’m roughly in the Libertarian Socialist sector.

Of course, I should mention that there are limits to the Political Compass.

Guess whose Political Compass results this was?
