teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Reminds me of the two middle school girls who stabbed a classmate.  They claimed that they were instructed to by an all-powerful, invisible entity.

That they called this entity "Slenderman", instead of "God", got them treatment for being mentally ill.

I legit don't know what's worse, that a famous YouTuber seriously thought people would buy this, or the fact that, when I tried to look for the original video, I found dozens of other people trying the same thing, including two other "FaceTiming different versions of Jesus at 3 AM" videos from the same damn guy.
