@The Valkyrie The term of "Rugby World Cup" is funny because the name of this tournament doesn't indicate it is a "Rugby Union" (15 players) tournament.
There are many games called "Rugby" and "Rugby Union" is one of many variants of this game. There are Rugby Sevens (Seven players , variant of rugby union) , Rugby league sevens (Seven players , variant of rugby league) , Rugby league nines (Nine players , variant of rugby league) , Rugby Tens (Ten players , variant of rugby union) , Rugby League (13 players) etc...
