So it is a week on and my backyard is starting to look like a nursery.

This weekend the 'Front' is going to be finished (around AUD$1000.00 later) So...

Too funny. My wife Lia does the same thing with me. Latin names allow us to be sure what we're talking about. Some popular names are fun and it is interesting to see how the same plants acquire different names in different places, but we'd never know they are the same plant without the Latin names.

Thanks for the tip Kichi. Now I know where to post my garden photos and its fun to see what great plants so many of you grow.

New construction so you've really started with a blank slate. You've done a lot. I like getting trees in early on since these make you feel so lived in when they get up a bit. I'm down to one six meter diameter circle of lawn and I'm looking forward to the day I can afford to replace it with a synthetic lawn. Ones I've seen were pretty realistic but very expensive.
