Space-time is one of the two paradigms by which we understand the universe, the other being quantum mechanics. If you want to maintain that time doesn't really exist then I suggest you take it up with the chaps over at LIGO.

Given the broadness of the literature, I doubt a quick look is possible or informative. Paul Fraisse (1984) gives a more nuanced review of the literature. He builds upon Gibson's ideas by suggesting that the perception of succession and duration of events are what give rise to the notion of time. I clicked your link to LIGO and used their search box to look for anything relating to time. I didn't come across anything pertinent, perhaps you can give me a more direct link?
