For you, Yukon...we already discussed this pages ago.  Any offspring of a fruit fly will be a fruit fly.  This is not an objection to biology, it's an affirmation of biology.

You are expecting a hard line in the sand. Its a common trait of people with limited understanding, but the truth is more a subtle more gradual. 

What it comes down to is small changes, over time, lead to big changes. And of course many small changes can be happening at the same time.

Not to forget that basically we have direct access (minus deep ocean...for now) to earth and all its habitats, while we dont know if far out in the universe gravity works different. There are even hypotheses that exactly this could explain the alleged effect of "dark energy".

First, the end of that sentence is problematic; its important to keep the phenomenon separate from the theory, and in this sentence you've merged the two together. In case there's confusion about the difference, lets quote your source:

1. "Gravity is the name we give to the phenomenon that objects accelerate towards each other when they are otherwise left to their own devices."
2. "A theory of gravity is a different kettle of fish."

Secondly, I think most people are aware that we've moved more into an Einsteinian view of gravity than a Newtonian one, so perhaps using Newton in your comparison is a bit of a strawman.

Great idea. Can we also manage to separate the facts of evolutionary biology with the theory that explains them, John? That would help our convo about evolutionary biology along immensely. There is certainly a theory, and you can object to that just as soon as you figure out what your objection is...but it's pointless to argue against facts, correct?
