It's true, the amount of mental masturbation theists have to go through to convince themselves that they're not just being completely irrational is rather awe inspiring. Don't let something like rational arguments for your positions get in the way of making yourself feel better!

The OP merely says that she had a difficult time believing in Catholicism. This means she found it 'hard to believe' as in, she found it very unconvincing. It doesn't mean that it is literally 'difficult'.
