Just what America needs - even more not-really-football.

Well, you could switch to rugby, but it'd rugby league, so maybe not.

Actually I hate Vince McMahon. He is the owner of the WWE. But yea, I also like the idea of filling something between NFL seasons.

Don’t they play baseball during the summer?

I wanted the AAF to work out. The Orlando Apollos had great attendance along with a couple other teams. I also watched the NFL Europe when it was around. USFL long ago also went belly up.

Spring football if done right could work. Any potential pro football league would not work playing in the fall competing with the NFL. Problem with it in any business is the starter has to expect initial losses for the first 2 to 5 years. The other leagues failed in the past because the CEOs and investors either didn't have the money or simply didn't want to take more loss. If you are going to have a pro league, it makes sense to make the attempt in the spring when you are not competing with the NFL.

Yeah, didn’t ask about any of that. You and Mr. Wizard said you wanted something to fill the space between NFL seasons. You couldn’t fill it with baseball, or does it have to be American football?
