I was at this game, not that it matters.

I don't think we are the same species Brian...I think you are in a species that is all your own.

You are special.

The following video if it takes, forward to 2 hours, 43 minutes and 57 seconds.

That was the death nail score the Skins put into the Falcons in the playoff game that caused the fans, including me, to throw their seat cushions on the field.

Any sports fan, of ANY  sport is going to be into their favorite team. I simply got to be part of local legend. Does it amount to a hill of beans, no! But at the time it was fun.

Nobody who was at that game will forget it.

I'm sure it was a pivotal moment in the lives of many.

Yes, the players who won made more money, and the team who lost made less.

But as a fan, I still had fun.

As an aside, growing up a Redskin fan going to the old RFK stadium, the one thing I loved going to and from the parking lot to the stadium were the tunnels. Especially after a win, the echo people would use to make noise like cattle/cows and moo.

Mildly interesting factlet: the proper name for those tunnels is ‘vomitoria’ (sing. ‘vomitorium), from the Latin ‘to spew forth’.

The Romans found that tunnels were much more effective than gates at getting spectators in and out of the arena.

The thing about the ‘vomitorium’ as a place where decadent Romans would go to puke during a feast is a myth.

Thanks for that.

I am still working through how making a mooing sound in a tunnel (vomitoria) is tied to a team called the Redskins.

Surely there's going to be an explanation forthcoming.

I throw seat cushions at everyone. If I had the opportunity, even at ABBA fans. Please tell me you would not throw a seat cushion at an ABBA fan.

I wouldn't. If it were somehow possible that I would be sentenced to be at an ABBA concert, that cushion would be covering my ears, in order to save my sanity from their inanity. I made a funny! And it rhymed!  Hehe

And that is exactly what Redskins fans do when we lose to the Cowboys.

You walk out through the tunnels? Good thinking.
