The Tunnel of Life
#11
RE: The Tunnel of Life
As good as any other angsty teen missive. Have you considered writing something optimistic with a positive outlook. If nothing else, to play with a different style? Or, maybe, for the challenge?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I was sitting in the garden
Wearing my sequined speedo
And gumboots.
Not a care in the worlds.

Chomping on a fresh nectarine
In the manner of the Scythians
Who could teach us so much
But we rarely listen.

Suddenly, I felt a jab
Near my middle.
I doubled over and
Spied my bellybutton.

It was all puffed out
Instead of all puffed in.
And it was covered by
A battered fuselage.

Poor bee.
He meant me no harm.
He just ran
Out of fuel.

Your names suck so bad I didn't even read through..
It's like "Leonidas Heppelmeyer, the BullShit".

The scariest thing is to have candidates for the "monster in the tunnel".
You know, Saudi royals, American army chumps, Trump, Putin, Chinese operative...and the list goes on.

But what did you think of my poem? Do you need the deeper meaning explained to you?

If you wanted to get opinions about your poem, make another thread for it; this is not the humor section and it's disgusting to see a mod abusing his title like that.

Thank you.

You started it - I chuckled all the way through your poem. Wasn’t it mean to be funny?

Abuse of power...this thread has turned out to be golden.  It really should be in the humor section.

Just seeing who puts up with other's endless repetition but calls certain ones trolls is worth the time to scroll through.

There are certain guild lines that limit what I can say about it, but Winterhold owes his continue presence here - in no small part - to me.

If that’s ‘abuse of power’, I accept the charge.
