Were they warned? Did they pray for the sea to spare them? Did the warning siren go off and they all ran down to the beach and prayed to the sea god to save them? If so, then yes. If not, they were just victims of a natural disaster.

If a volcano is blowing up and some shithead tells you that everything will be okay because he can talk to the volcano AND YOU LISTEN AND STAY THERE AND GET FUCKING KILLED then you are an ASSHOLE.

And therefore, no loss.

Stupid gatekeeper, he doesn't know the first thing about volcanoes.. He should have thrown a virgin or two into volcano instead of talking to it...
