Make it 100,000....

Of .450 Bushmaster....

*shrug* You can make it a million rounds of elk-seeking missiles if you like. You’ll never collect.

Nor will you.

It's very hard to take guns away from people if you don"t have any guns.

Plenty of folks in the us could use a few extra bucks in trade for their guns right now. That's one of the perceived values of firearms. Others, people like Biker and myself, would probably keep our guns and jump through whatever hoops we have to.

(put me on the list for a couple of those elk missiles - lots of ridge to ridge opportunity round hur)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. Good luck with that.

I remember when Lithuania kicked the Russians out of the country in 1990.... The Lithuanians I saw on CNN were brandishing WWII era German and Russian machine guns.

They had not been able to own ANY firearms since the Germans invaded in the 1940s....

You think Americans will give up easier?

Bwaaaaahahaha....

A great many of them would, yes, if our own experiments with buyback programs are any indication. Whether it's capital punishment or gun violence, alot of this seems to revolve around misanthropy rather than fact.

It's very hard to take guns away from people if you don"t have any guns.

And, presumably in this scenario, even the military doesn't own guns...

Because I'm fairly certain even in most countries with gun control, there are still people sanctioned by the state to own firearms as part of the state monopoly on violence.

You are presuming that the American military is a bunch of flaming leftists - or conscripted drones.

If you think the US military would follow the order to forcibly disarm the citizens - you clearly never met any American military....

Refusal to follow that order would be an act of flaming leftyism.

The order IS flaming lefty......

Refusal to follow the order would be the farthest from the left possible. Saying otherwise makes you sound like an alien who just showed up and isn't yet familuar with the locals..

I think ya got that backwards there pookie.

There are all kinds of more recent murder trials where the accused "walked" that did not involve black/white. You picked one that did, a quite socially inflammatory one.
