Supernatural Over-representation

RE: Supernatural Over-representation
Why is it that real people who swear they've seen an alien (my neighbor the other day told me his experiences!), also have no problem with ghosts.
Why do the 2 seem to go hand in hand. Aliens and ghosts have a 99% monopoly on woo! We need more trolls! Not the Drich kind, the harmless kind.

This neighbor broke my new shiny bullshit meter when he started telling me that he saw 3 translucent alien figures in his bedroom. Yep.
Nested woo is now a thing. I wonder if they had wings made of feathers? I would've got the trifecta. (aliens, god and the fucking holy ghost!)
Poor bastard. Must be lonely.

with all the start (trek/wars), aliens, MIB,types I think aliens have quite a lot of visibility in modernity.

Seeing a different kind of therianthrope than wolves would be an interesting change of pace. There was that one Howling movie where the 'werewolves' were actually 'were-thylacines'.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Just to be pedantic, werewolfery isn’t supernatural, it’s a medical condition.

Give, and give generously. Together, we can help find a cure.

That’s one worth looking into exploring. Of course, it is rather sexist to assume that the incubus only goes after women, according to wikipedia, and that would have to change if I was to write the character. Maybe it's time for a bisexual character.

Quote:Though many tales claim that the incubus is bisexual, others indicate that it is strictly heterosexual and finds attacking a male victim either unpleasant or detrimental.

Time to dispel that silly christian myth.

What is a supernatural creature of which you would like to see more?

Elves, of course.  Great

As long as they're proper elves, not the wishy washy do-nothing Tolkien variety.

Quote:From Terry Pratchett:

Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.
Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels.
Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.
Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.
Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment.
Elves are terrific. They beget terror.
The thing about words is that meanings can twist just like a snake, and if you want to find snakes look for them behind words that have changed their meaning.
No one ever said elves are nice.
Elves are bad.
