Sigh. Sungula didn't defend the killing of Muslims in mosques. He pointed out that the West has the capability to destroy every mosque and refrains from doing so. I'm not a fan of the idea that the West deserves a cookie for not wanting to carpet bomb or nuke every civilization that they have an issue with for some reason, and you certainly don't need to be grateful that we aren't worse (we should try hard to be better); but it wasn't a threat, or a defense of the NZ mosque attack.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Harrison, Arkansas is the most racist town in America, and also very Christian. So which racist lines do you think a BLM protester gets yelled at him from the city folk the most?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It is a very isolated community with little influence from Central Arkansas or NWA and is more like neighboring counties in Missouri. This video draws an honest sampling of people there and in the surrounding hills. There is a KKK compound in nearby Zinc. There are also many nice, intelligent, loving people there. They are embarrassed and working to educate the haters. There are billboards promoting love and brotherhood. Before the White Pride Radio billboard, one on southern border of town said "Diversity is code for white genocide." Local attorneys helped the landowner take it down. The nice people in Harrison deserve larger representation. Although most move away. |
