Currently working on chapter eight, about halfway through.

I’m finding it an accomplishment to write a minimum of five hundred words a night. I wish it could be more, but I need to be realistic and not rush it. Besides, maybe as I progress deeper into the novel the easier it will be to whip out the higher word counts per night.

Is this your 1st book?

Did any of them make it big? If so I would consider reading one.

No, unfortunately. The first I self-published via Amazon. The second, I didn’t do anything with it. The third, I placed on Wattpad. This fourth one will most likely end up on Wattpad, as well.

I think I may be one if the very few people who have never felt any desire at all to write fiction.

Nothing personal and not directed at anyone in particular, but it’s astonishing to me how many people think that because they’ve read novels, that somehow gives them the ability to write one. Just because you can drive a car doesn’t mean you can build one.

I’m not attempting to write the next great American novel. I just write for fun, while also incorporating my personal beliefs into the plot.

Oh, I don't object to people writing. It's like masturbation or dandruff - not harmful, and most people derive enjoyment from fiddling with it.

But I think people should be encouraged to write.  You never know what's going to be good.  I try to remind myself that every single professional author was once an amateur author.  I just don't understand the compulsion some people have about it (the compulsion about writing, I mean.  I fully understand the one about masturbation).
