Yeah, this shit annoys the hell out of me, too. I see it on the internet, all over Facebook, everywhere. "God isn't allowed in our schools!" Who the hell says? A kid can pray all F'ing day for all I care as long as he's not being disruptive. What they're pissed off about is no longer being able to force all the non-Christian kids to pray. If a Christian kid is going to pray in school, he's going to pray in school. Why does he need the teacher to lead him in a prayer? No, it's all about getting all the evil heathen kids with atheist parents to pray against their will, and to be ostracized when they don't stand up and go along with it. No, forced prayer in school isn't going to make all the drugs, teenage pregnancy, violence and bullying go away. It was still there in the 1950's and will still be there whether or not you try to force kids to pray.
But people are stupid. And Christians love that people are stupid, because they can keep the "it's illegal to pray in schools" lie going. Unfortunately, people parrot this idea every day and don't understand that it's school-sponsored prayer that's illegal.
The other thing that pisses me off is that they always think that school prayer should consist of Christian prayers. They see nothing wrong with this, but they must be too stupid to see that it opens the door for a Muslim teacher to have his class bow to Mecca and worship Allah. Of course they'd never allow that. I think a funny scenario would be to ask Christians, "Do you want prayer in school?" When they answer in the affirmative, then say, "OK, we'll have teachers read from the Satanic bible."
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
