BQ, If you're worried about giving someone covid, then you wouldn't expose yourself to others.
No-one can basically guarantee they don't have it or aren't spreading it prior to showing symptoms. By the time someone is showing symptoms, it's already too late, and you've probably passed it on to many... This is how the virus spreads... WE spread it unknowingly... Stay home with absolute minimum contact and wear a mask... unless you're a Trump supporter...

We are having a small gathering (six, maybe seven people) at my daughter's house. The floor plan there is better for distancing. The guys will sit in the living room anyway to eat while watching football. So that's three of the attendees. My daughter, granddaughter, granddaughter's friend, and I will figure out how to spread out in the kitchen.

The extra guest (granddaughter's friend) needs somewhere to be as her totally fucked up mother told her the other night that she (the mother) is the only reason the stepfather hasn't raped the girl yet. Kid needs to be away from that scene. God I hate people sometimes.

My daughter and her family have about 50 masks that I have made this year. I have mine, husband has his, and I will bring some for my son.

We are going to try to be safe and have drastically cut the guest list.

So me and my boyfriend would like to spend the holiday together, the gathering would only be us two and his dad and brother. Me and his dad are both “vulnerable”. We’re all wearing masks and being safe as we possibly can be, however my parents think I should spend the holiday alone. I’m trying very hard to balance my own emotional needs against being safe, especially since I’ve been isolated since February (old timers will remember my condition and how I got cracked open again). What do you guys think? Should I risk it? Do I go?
