Ordered the instruments needed to take vitals, since I plan on staying at this place for a while. The facility is supposed to provide the instruments for us to use, but they hardly work properly. Most of the aides bring their own, and those who don't borrow from the other aides. I just don't feel like borrowing all the time, which means others might want to borrow from me. Got the package deal of three instruments from Amazon, should be arriving at my doorstep this evening before I head off to work. Blood Pressure Monitor, Forehead Thermometer, Pulse Oximetry.

Geez, should have let me know. I have a BP cuff/reader that includes pulse and I have an oximeter. I also have dad's old stethoscope. We could have made a deal. Let me know, I could throw in a couple scalpels and curved suture needles as well as IV needles big enough to use for spitballs. Then there's the collection of hemostats...back in the day they were a hot commodity for the joint smokers.
Fresh out of forehead thermometers though.

Most people with whom I work seem shocked there are facilities out there where it's the nurse's job to do vitals instead of the aide's.
And we received a notification that the instruments aren't arriving till tomorrow morning.
