Fun fact: back in high school when I first conceptualized of this group of characters, it was that "W" word that made it possible. But I was always attributing a supernatural aspect to it, as I do with all my novels.

Kind of like X-Men

Working on chapter twenty before I get ready for work.

Keeping to the same word count length I apply to all my writing now, each chapter is around a thousand words in length. Typically, my novels are fifty chapters long, which makes them fifty thousand words in length.

The one I'm currently writing might be longer than fifty chapters, at least that is the current feeling.
