Seriously? Half the posts here are embracing the violent clashing of different religions?

Sad.

What are we supposed to do? Atheists dont have the numbers like xians and islams....should we get between them? It would be the only time muslims and christians would get together and agree on something.."kill the atheist!". Then when we are dead, what will they do then? Go back to each others throats is what they will do. Each side claims to be the religion of peace while they throtle each other and call each other liars.

I can agree on a few points here.

1. It is terribly sad that people feel the need to kill each other over something so fucking ridiculous.

2. These people are to blame and that's what happens when you get worked up over something stupid, but this is actually the best case scenario if they want to get violent. They weren't exactly innocent bystanders and it could have been worse. In the part of Boston my mom grew up in, around her teenage years, there was a lot of bullshit going around about interracial couples. My mother can recall one time when a white man who was dating a black girl had his teeth knocked out (all of them, not like he was punched and one fell out) and they raped his girlfriend. In this case, and many others, the violence was taken out on innocents who simply loved each other. While the couple in this instance are surely hurt emotionally because of the violence, at least the violence was perpetrated against the violent and not the innocent.

Indeed,as are most reasons for which people kill each other.Human beings are an especially aggressive and obnoxious species. We have had to be to be to survive; we are innately weak compared with other predators.

I have no doubt that our species will not even come close to the period of survival of say the shark or the crocodile. This will be a good thing for the planet and other species.


So many innocents are killed in wars that we have invented an obscene euphemism to hide the fact; 'collateral damage'

Human beings love war,or there would not be any;it's such an absurd, cruel,vicious and pointless activity..
