Then you already know that  "Nanu Nanu" was the greeting, like "Aloha" and "Shazbot" was the clean version of "darn it" or " SON OF A BITCH." or Homer's "DOH!"

I know. I can’t say I particularly care.

You cared enough to respond.

In much the same way that I can answer your questions about American football and not care about the game.

I confess to being a slave to trivia.

Boru

Good. Sometimes letting your hair down is fun.

Like knowing the the model of car Herbie "The Love Bug" was, and what number was emblazed on it's hood.

Let’s not turn this into a trivia thread.

I get that. Sometimes I can answer trivia questions about things I am not into. The point isn't go get everyone to be clones of each other. I simply think it is fun to ask trivia questions just to see what others know.

Jeopardy and even Cash Cab I love watching. Not because I like all the topics. But because it exposes me to a bigger world.

I am quite sure, there are things you are into, be it history, sports, politics, art, ect ect, that I would not be into. But, I can still appreciate the history too.

I once was able to recite every line of every Pat Benatar song and could tell you which song was on which album and side. I can also tell you Pat Benatar is not her real name. Does that mean squat to you? Most likely not.  I get that. But just like I am not a fan of Bob Dylan's voice. And don't know squat about his history, I do know and accept he had an impact on music, and was/is a very empathetic humanitarian.

Point being, trivia isn't a bad thing. It certainly isn't a collegiate in person Harvard setting, but regardless, it is still an insight to human interaction.

So when you say you are not into American Football, or Mork And Mindy, the ability to answer questions about things you are not into, still says something about your ability keep your ears open.

I also am not into golf, or Tiger Woods, but I can accept his impact on society. History is just that, history. And the more we expose ourselves to such, sports, politics, ideology, religion, big and small, the more we can see ourselves as not being as different as we think we are. Trivia isn't passing, it is part of history.

Not trying to. I asked my original question in memory of Robin so that was related.

My point in asking about Herbie wasn't to derail the thread, but to merely point out to you, that not being into something doesn't mean that others who are not into the same thing are wrong. Mork And Mindy was something I was into. You were not, but Mork and Mindy still had to do with Robin, regardless.
