RE: The Robin Williams Remembrance Memorial Thread
I think my favorite Robin Williams film has got to be The Dead Poets Society.

Listening to "When I'm 64", I remembered The World According to Garp, the first unambiguously good movie he starred in:

I'm not sure how well John Lithgow's performance as Roberta Muldoon is viewed among transfolk today (probably with a similar annoyance that many on the autism spectrum see Raymond Babbit), although, that said, I doubt that Warner was all that ready for a truly nuanced transgender supporting character in 1982, let alone casting a trans actress.

Oh well, I remember watching "Hook" when I was a kid, and in that scene where we see very briefly Peter Pan as a boy I thought "Why can't this movie be about this instead of that boring middle-aged man?"
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Today Conservatives would accuse him of being a "groomer"  and demand he be burnt at the stake for "indoctrinating" children.
