When forced by law I wore a half helmet.

Never saw the point. If you don' t want dangerous - don't ride. Those who wear a helmet, ride and think they are " safer" are delusional as fuck.

I'd love to see the evidence that wearing a helmet isn't safer.

I can show you an academic paper showing the opposite

Do you think playing Russian Roulette with one bullet is " safer" than playing with two bullets?

If that' s your idea of "safer" I can understand your endorsment of helmet use.

By definition, it would be . But the risks of death motorcycles are nowhere near that dire. So this Analogy doesn't work.

So objective it would be safer and that analogy isn't valid. Isn't a reason to endorse helmets?

RE: stocking up
Speaking from experience, helmets are a good idea if you plan on crashing.

On the other hand, helmets that are strong enough to reduce the severity of a head injury are also the ones more likely to contribute to a crash, as they tend to interfere with seeing and hearing what it going on around you. There’s also risk compensation to consider - riders wearing helmets tend to take more risks than riders who don’t.

You argue with OLB but agree with Boru...nope, nothing personal going on there.

As an aside, it’s rather nice to see people distracted from the why-are-the-Brians-always-having-a-row complaint.

Why would I need to argue with Boru when the papers I cited deal with all his points and refutes Triker?  Seems kind of redundant to make the same argument twice. So again your silly narrative goes up in flames  Hehe

That's also a false narrative.

Accept that's not true. You guys argue but it's far from always.

Forum rules prevent me from publishing my long list of PMs that say different.
