I am not going to argue about "after the fact". Nobody sane today, even with movies like "Jaws" or "Friday The 13th" can be fooled by the music or effects today. But even with "Emergency" that shit worked on me back then.

Oh the effects of the orginal Jaws and Jaws 2 hold up. 3 and 4 on the other hand.

I love the original two Jaws, but no, today, outside the acting, the mechanical shark does not fool me today. The acting still stands up, but the special effects, no. 

I've never seen a shark with jaw skin flab that makes it look like  a basset hound.

Even the makers admitted, at the time, their initial intent was to rely on the visuals of a shark. But in the making the movie they had so many problems with the mechanical shark, they ended up relying more on implication and music. What made the first two Jaws successful was more about not actually seeing the shark than the special effects.

Reconsider how you portray Native American names.  Is it funny enough to be worth it?

Fun fact, the dispatcher in Adam-12 in reality was a real police dispatcher before taking on that role.

I don’t think you did it intentionally, it’s just that you’ve got a tin ear for this sort of thing. You’re not malicious, just insensitive.
