Actually, 007 was a shitty spy. He was always getting caught. He blew his cover in the dumbest ways.

Like in Octopussy when he bets the faberge egg. Why did he do that? Yeah dude. Now people are going to be like "What the fuck is up with this guy," and, lo and behold, people show up to his room to kill him. What kind of spy move is that?

And in View to a Kill, he is supposed to infiltrate Christopher Walkens's operation, and then he (for some reason) starts talking shit to him. Then Christopher Walken (Zorin) is like, "What the fuck is up with this guy? I better check him out."... Then he figures out he's 007. Bad spy technique. Lo and behold, people show up to kill him.

And he’s always telling people his right name. You’re a world famous spy, ffs. Maybe not telling the villains who you are would be a step in the right direction.

Not blurting out your identity is on page one of ‘The Secret Agent Handbook’.

Lol! Agreed. But Moore was good. He belongs on a list of "best Bonds."

Pierce Brosnan was serviceable. Like, I feel like he "achieved par" at playing the role.

Well nostalgia value can make a film seem better I guess.

What's your favorite Bond film?

I stopped watching Bond movies since years, but the most iconic one for me was "The Spy Who Loved Me" because parts was in Egypt :Big Grin Also the girl was very hot. Jaws was cheap though.

Bond actors from best to worst:

Sean Connery

Daniel Craig

George Lazenby

Pierce Brosnan

Timothy Dalton

Roger Moore

This list is final and may not be criticized or contested. I have spoken.

Hard to argue when you have it exactly right.

The only way it could have been more correct is if Carrot Top had starred as Bond.

Then Roger Moore could be last behind Carrot Top.

I find it hard to criticize Moore while simultaneously elevating Connery. Both actors' performances focused on heavy-handed, tongue-in-cheek humor that bordered on parody.

It's hard to love Sean Connery's schtick without also at least accepting Moore's, without going into personal, subjective factors.

^Agreed. I liked Moore.

Dalton is the worst Bond IMO. But he was also in the worst Bond movie. It's hard to tell if I'd like him better if the movies he was in didn't suck horribly. But I guess we'll never know. Moore is better than Dalton from what we have to work with.

I can't stand to watch Pierce Brosnan in anything. I'm not sure what it is about him, but I just can't with him.

Daniel Craig doesn't impress me as much as he does some people. That may be because I watched "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and liked it well enough until I watched the original and saw how much Daniel Craig was a letdown in the role.
