For the Sci-Fi Horror film 'Event Horizon' Sam Neill requested that the Australian flag on his character's uniform remove the Union Flag from the corner and for it to be replacedwith the Aboriginal flag, the way he thought it should look in 2047.

Basil Rathbone (of Sherlock Holmes fame) was decorated for conspicuous gallantry in WWI for performing extremely dangerous daylight reconnaissance missions. He was also a two time British Army Fencing champion.

The film ‘My Fellow Americans’ with Jack Lemmon and James Garner, was originally supposed to reunite Lemmon with Walter Matthau And was going to be titled ‘Grumpy Old Presidents’. Matthau fell ill and had to withdraw from the project.

Do you know how many films are known to have appeared on IMDb's Top 250 list? 964. Admittedly, there are quite a few gaps, especially in the early days, and some of the things listed aren't so much movies as TV shows, but a lot of info can be found here.
