Over 200 dead bodies lay along the routes to the top of Mount Everest, frozen and unable to be retrieved due to the harsh conditions. The bodies are used as landmarks with nicknames such as 'Green Boots' and 'Sleeping Beauty'.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Jazz great Louie Armstrong was raised by a Jewish family from the ages of 7-14. As a result, he spoke fluent Yiddish and wore a Star of David for the rest of his life.

Eivor is a female given name.

In the Valhalla version of Assassin's Creed, the name is mistakenly used as gender neutral, whereby it is the name provided for both the male and female character roles.

Lots of gamers are upset about this turn in the game series.
Eivor is not a good name
Eivor is and always has been a girl's name

Both genders are canon explanation doesn't hold water.

During my first play through, I chose the male Eivor because I prefer the gay male romance options. Only during my second play through, having chosen the female role and discovering that her name was also Eivor, I did the above research.

In 2006, Seattle developers offered an 84-year-old woman $1 million for her house. She declined and refused to move, so they built a mall around it.

Pretty small house. She should've taken the money.

But I think that's now an awesome location.

No trouble finding a parking spot at the mall, that much is certain.

When you' re happy where you are - being offered a bunch of money to move is betting that you will be just as happy somewhere else.

I' d take the bet - if the payout was right...

But I can fully understand someone standing pat..

Somehow, sitar picks are actually more comfortable than regular guitar finger picks.
