James Dean pulled a gun on Ronald Reagan and threatened to kill him on the tv show "The Dark, Dark Hours," back when they were both actors.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Timothy LaHaye (of the "Left Behind" series) wrote in outrage about Wheaton College holding a memorial after MLK's assassination in 1968. This gives you a sense of how some influential evangelicals view MLK.

That Weird Al's Jurassic Park was making fun of Donna Summer's MacArthur Park. Never heard the latter till this morning, and now the former makes so much more sense.

It’s actually a parody of the Richard Harris version. You may consider that nit well and truly picked.

The rights to Dogma are held by Bob and Harvey Weinstein personally. Not Miramax, not the Weinstein Company, the brothers themselves. Kevin Smith has been trying to buy the rights back, but they’re demanding $5 million, and Kevin Smith doesn’t have that money.

I didn't realize there were so many TWD spinoffs.
Anyone know if any of them are good and worth watching?
