For years now, I've seen YouTubers have to censor themselves and complain about the sacrifices they make just to make their content "advertiser-friendly." Everyone from True Crime channels to anyone who just wants to drop the occasional F-bomb. Or even mention the COVID-19 pandemic.
And just now, I've realised how deep the bullshit rabbit hole goes. I'm watching Cannibal Holocaust on Peacock. If you're not familiar, it's a movie so graphic in its violence that the director had to bring the principal actors into an Italian court just to prove that he didn't make an actual snuff film. And even then, there's a lot of unsimulated violence against animals so graphic that the official Blu-Ray release felt the need to include a cut that removes five minutes and ten seconds' worth of animal cruelty (and that ain't the version I'm watching on Peacock.) And yet, it still found several companies willing to advertise in front of it. And they are (not counting an ad for Peacock's new Kevin Hart special):

Ted Levine played both Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs) and Captain Stottlemeyer (Monk). I'd never put the two together before.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

There are a million stars in the observable universe for every grain of sand on all the beeches of the earth. Yet for each and every single one of these stars there is between one million and one hundred million bacteria on earth.
Put it another way, there are about as many bacteria on earth as there are hydro and oxygen atoms in an Olympic swimming pool. Quote:Today [June 9, 2023], Congressman Pete Stauber (MN-08), along with Congressmen Mike Quigley (IL-05), Larry Bucshon (IN-08) and Brian Higgins (NY-26), announced the Congressional Hockey Caucus has been re-launched for the 118th Congress. The Congressional Hockey Caucus serves as a bipartisan forum for members of Congress to come together, exchange ideas, and collaborate on matters related to hockey's cultural, social, and economic significance. Further, the Caucus will look to address policy matters impacting the hockey community. Is there, perchance, also a Bocce Ball Caucus?
The preferred spelling is tipi. English bastardized it to teepee.
