What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
Sorrell Booke, an American actor best known for playing Boss Hogg on that dreadful Dukes of Hazzard, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbia University (enrolled at age 16, graduated at 19) and an MFA from Yale. He served as a counterintelligence officer during the Korean War, was a master carpenter, and spoke fluent French, Russian, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Ukrainian, Greek, Belarusian, Latin, and German. He was partially fluent in Arabic, Mandarin, Dutch, Polish, Swedish and Persian.

But he never could catch those Duke boys.

Religion isn't the disease, it's the symptom.

Sometimes the symptoms is what does the damage and the symptoms can be controlled even if the disease can’t.

Somehow, India Post Internstional can cover a package that’s only being sent from Michigan to Illinois.

An insurance policy can cover anything so long it can verify the condition of payout, knows the odds of having to payout, and exact a premium to cover the odds.   Sounds like India post is just being enterprising and looking for profit opportunities in a way the US postal service may not be.   Hiring a few Indian postal managers to displace native born postal officials here might do us some good.

When I said “covered,” I mean that when I bought the opal for my bolo tie project, it says: “ Estimated delivery: Jul 31-Aug 4 with India Post International” and the tracking number appears to be from them as well.

A few big cats from those once owned by Siegfried and Roy have been given a home at the local big cat rescue. I haven't been out there for some time but I think that's a plan for this fall...big cat pee and extreme heat don't make for a pleasant experience...fall will be better.

That actually happened. Just not to Michelangelo, but Paolo Veronese. He got called up before the Inquisition, but it turned out that all he needed to do was change the subject matter from the Last Supper to the incident where Jesus dined with the tax collectors and sinners.

Clearly the Pope had a different perspective.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
