Gimbap (Korean: 김밥; lit. Gim rice; IPA: [kim.p͈ap̚]), also romanized as kimbap, is a Korean dish made from cooked rice, vegetables, fish, and meat rolled in gim—dried sheets of seaweed—and served in bite-sized slices.[1] The origins of gimbap are debated. Some sources suggest it originates from Japanese norimaki, introduced during Japanese colonial rule,[2][3][4][5] while others argue it is a modernized version of bossam from the Joseon era.

There's a Korean deli a ways away that sells packs of Gimbap to-go. I stopped at a Korean restaurant near where I went for lung tests, only to find that they don't sell it.

Sunscreen achieves its intended purpose through chemistry that affects an organ, the definition of a drug in USA regulatory parlance.
IUDs - intrauterine contraceptive devices - are also classified as drugs, not medical devices, because the intended purpose is achieved chemically, not mechanically.
A rare opportunity for my professional life to intersect with the good squat that is AF!
The Australian TGA also regulates sunscreens as drugs.

On the morning of 6 June 1944, while the Allied troops were stationed in England, this is what they ate before they went into the jaws of death (And, yes, this was an EXTREMELY early breakfast):
Note: The quarter pound of powdered eggs seems to be about the equivalent of 8 eggs. So, adjust accordingly.
Also, this reminds me of an Door County breakfast joint I used to go to before the Plague shuttered it. They included an item called the "D-Day". I never ordered it, but here's the description I found from their old site on the Internet Archive:
Quote:"D-Day"
In honor of our World War II Veterans
Deluxe Creamed Chipped- Beef served over a French Croissant,
with a side of Door County Bakery Chopped Cherry jam.
It turns out their elevated Shit on a Shingle was way off.

Yay! The awful host of the NPR morning show on WBUR is out! Rupah Shenoy "Rupah Annoy" made dozens of mispronunciations per show. She famously pronounced pizza as "peas-a" and stumbled over local pronunciation.
The station is failing, which is sad, but I plan to tune in once again. I stopped after the peas-a affair.

I knew for a long time that Bad Lieutenant as we knew it, was marred because the original versions had a Schooly D song called “Signifyin Rapper.” Unfortunately, SR sampled Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” without permission, so they were forced to replace it.
What I didn’t know was that they used it for the nun’s rape scene. And my God, does it not work in that context.
I wonder if Abel Ferrara ever considered replacing it with “Come With Me.” Then again, maybe now isn’t the time to refill Sean Combs’ coffer.

Would you stand in line to stand on the highest point on Earth (Mont Everest)?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Although it appears in the script and in the end credits, the word ‘Ewok’ is never spoken in The Return of the Jedi.

No. I’ve climbed my last mountain (both literally and metaphorically).
