Why don't they just install an elevator, already? [Image: Eye-Roll.gif]

Reba fans also noticed that Kyra didn't receive a lot of screen time in Season 5. In fact, she was only in 2 episodes, so what happened to her?

What 'Reba' fans may not know: Scarlett Pomers was battling anorexia at the time of her absence.

Impossible burger patties really do taste like beef hamburger patties.

They do. The texture and flavor are like good quality ground beef. I've half jokingly said to my wife that I want to secretly serve them to our kids and see if they can tell.

I'm not sure I want to know what's in them though, I only eat maybe one or two a year.

It turns out that this is actually the first use of CGI in a film.

Yes, really.

Quote: Saul Bass insisted that the spirals, which represent 19th century equations, should be accurate and not drawn freehand, which requited both a pendulum and a rotating table (specifically an animation stand). Alas, no animation stand of that time could continuously rotate without its wiring getting messed up.

Hitchcock hired John Whitney who rigged up a WWII 850-lbs, 11,000-components anti-aircraft targeting computer called The M5 gun director to a platform. It was a mechanical computer which needed 5 soldiers to operate, but a computer nonetheless. He then placed cels on that platform and used a pendulum to achieve the needed endless rotation

A group of hippos is sometimes called ‘a bloat’. Seems a little insensitive.

Turns out that a lot of my laptop’s ability to power itself hinges on a single screw that’s right by the charging Jack.

If it gets too loose, the power strip goes out of place, which leads to connections with the power supply getting wonky. And when that happens, in addition to the whole charging/running situation getting complicated, it hurts the battery directly.

Also, inspired by the scene in The Spirit where Frank Miller decided that long dresses were a status symbol on par with sports cars and diamonds, I decided to go to Walmart on my way back home after picking up the laptop to see the prices on long dresses (well, that and buying some Jean shorts for me.) This is what I found:

I knew Frank had trouble writing female characters, but that was just bizarre to me, something that could probably be bought for $20 getting lumped in with diamonds and Ferraris.

Also, Walmart sells Tom Petty shirts in women’s sizes, but not men’s.

I'm pretty sure Walmart thinks real men wear Richard and Kyle Petty.
