What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
RE: What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday?
I hardly ever use Waze but it's on my phone. I leave for work before 6:00 every morning and arrive by 7:15. Waze thinks I leave for work at 7:45. It tells me how long the ride would be. Gee thanks. Even its tracker stinks.

I like Waze but you have to let it collect information to be more accurate.  The more you use it for a routine trip the better.  I do have other GPS apps on my phone but seem to go back to Waze.

On my trip east, I was wondering why it was routing me so strangely.  Then I remembered that I had it set for when I was commuting downtown and had it set to avoid highways and tolls.  Once I pulled over and reset those, it was great.

^makes sense. I take the same route so I don't need the annoyance of the Waze lady telling me to turn left in 1000 feet. I know back roads when the highway is broken. Been doing this drive off an on for 20 years.

Oh, I turned the sound off a LONG, LONG time ago.  I can rather skillfully get out of my neighborhood.  LOL

^I'll add that our house is on a corner so all GPS units all the way back to the Garmin I had, have been confused if I am in front of my house or in the driveway on the side.

Home Depot gives neither refunds nor store credit...even with a receipt...if the item is more than 90 days old.

Quote:Spaghetti originated in Naples and got their name from Antonio Viviani in 1842, as they looked like small pieces of string, from the Italian word "spago". Originally they measured 50cm in length however due to time and space related needs, they have been shortened until they reached their current length of 25cm.

Brian Jones and Jim Morrison died exactly two years apart (3 July 1969 and 3 July 1971, respectively). Coincidentally, they were both found dead in water - Jones in a swimming pool, Morrison in a bathtub.

The world's largest potato masher is in Plover, Wisconsin.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
