Hugo Gernsback, the editor and publisher for whom the prestigious Hugo Award is named, was a complete cunt. He paid his writers extremely low rates, or did not pay them all. He had a reputation for stiffing his creditors. He took more than one of his magazines through bankruptcy solely as a tax dodge. There is compelling evidence that several of the 80+ patents he held were stolen from other inventors.

I learned that golf is exercise. I played in two charity tournaments this past week. My abs and hips are sore. I suck at golf but play for good causes. Wednesday's was for children's heart patients and yesterday's was for suicide prevention for veterans. Had a lot of fun losing golf balls for charity.

Just think how’d you feel if you walked and carried your bag.
The first film Stanley Kubrick had anything to do with was called Dreams Money Can Buy. He didn't direct it, He just played an extra in one segment (most prominently at 34:55, wearing glasses and sitting next to his first wife Toba Metz)
He might have actually been credited as "Stanley Kotis," but then again, maybe it might have been a coincidence. But given that both of His first two wives also appeared in the film, that'd be one Hell of a coincidence.

That alaskan republican David Eastman asked whether fatal child abuse could actually serve as a "benefit to society"? I saw this quote in a book (Fascism on Trial by Henry A. Giroux) and couldn't believe that there would be someone inhuman enough to ask such.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

I found a couple blue jay feathers in the back yard yesterday. They are blue with black stripes and white tips. I did not know that the underside of their feathers is black....no blue showing at all...black with the white tip.
My middle name is after my grandmother's bluejay that my mother loved.
