I found out that my second granddaughter has her first job.  That's really good news as she is very bashful and timid and this is a good thing.  She has been working at a Dunkin Donuts which will force her into talking with people.  Apparently one is opening closer to home but her boss doesn't want to lose her.  I am glad to hear this news.

I had called my younger daughter to let her know that a new quilt is on the way the way to her.

It also sounds like daughter may be getting her ankle fused...the one she really messed up last year in a car accident.  It should reduce the pain she has been experiencing which is a good thing since she is prone to addiction.  Overall, news on that front sounds very positive.  Grandson is taking up archery too...along with baseball and football.  He's a busy kid.

I like Gaga, especially her older stuff.  One thing I admire about her is that she hasn't paid for a plastic surgeon's yacht.  Though she is a chameleon when it comes to her wardrobe, she seems fine with her natural self.

Today I learned that I'm a 51 year old rube. I was at the local after work. An older fellow I know from the bar but not personally - a bar buddy - sat next to me.

The barman was struggling to open a bottle so I handed him my pocket knife. It's old but it can shave the fuzz off a peach. The barman thanked me and handed it back.

Bar buddy commented on the sharpness of the blade, so I handed it to him. He handed it back. I then settled up with the bar, left my keys, wallet, phone, takeaway food, and pocket knife on the bar and went to the gents.

I came back, picked up everything and left.

Pocket knife was not in my pocket when I got home - noticed when I put my keys back in the pocket.

I got played by a 71 year old man. The little squint.
