CFL VS NFL.....
August 27, 2021 at 8:01 pm
There are differences, but the one I'd love to see in the NFL would be for the field to be as long as THE CFL. The CFL has two 50 yard lines and a "center" yard line.
But in all honesty, I think the CFL game is much harder because it has a 3 down rule whereas the NFL has 4 downs.

I'd also like to see paintball guns added to golf. The paintball guns can only be used on putts on the green from 15 feet away from the hole. You'd only be allowed to hit the putter in the back and legs. I figure, if you can still make that putt while being pelted with paintballs, you deserve the score.

Do you blame the NRA for your ignorance?
There are no paintball GUNS.
There are paintball MARKERS.
Don' t even think you can argue this - I have serious senority in paintball - as I started playing in 1984 during it' s infancy.

Lets take what is not supposed to be serious and make it life and death shall we? And take note of the "regulations" in my version of golf.

1) Of all the differences, this one is the least interesting. The field is also wider and that allows the offense to spread out more. I also like the deeper end zone and the ability to score points on a punt.
2) The 3 down rule is offset by several things. There's a full yard of "neutral zone" between the offense and defense. The field is wider. The offense is allowed to have multiple players in movement at the same time and they are allowed to run toward the LOS, get a "running start", if you will. 12 players on the field vs 11. All of these rules are an advantage to the offense that probably makes up the difference.

Rugby and Australian Rules Football are confounding to me. I've watched a lot of games but never get a good sense of the flow. And how those guys survive a single game wearing nothing but shorts and a t-shirt is mind blowing.
But at least the name of the sport makes more sense because the foot touching the ball is actually a significant part of the game.
Why is it so?

It evens out, I suppose - gridiron football will always remain a mystery to me.
