3. There has not needed to be a long-term study because we already know vaccines are safe. Ivermectin has side effects which is why you need to ask a doctor for it. And it's totally not effective that in itself is a danger because idiots think it's protecting them when it isn't.

Bret doesn't even identify as white, by the way. Bret has doctors and other scientists on his podcast all the time talking about covid and the vaccines. It's not a one man band.

The point being pushed was that I hate science, like I get all of my covid information from some witch doctor or the ghost of Rush Limbaugh, or Glenn Beck or some shit.

Bret Weinstein and his doctors and scientists have invited Sam Harris and his doctors and scientists to have a debate on this subject, but Sam Harris' side refuses to debate. What are they worried about? Can they not explain away everything Bret's side brings up? Why not hash it out?

Just for the record, the problem isn’t just that people are using the wrong formulation of Ivermectin. It’s that, while some studies have shown promise in using ivermectin to combat COVID, there is a catch: the dosage approved for humans is not enough to actually do the job. To get the desired effect, it has to be present at a concentration that’s lethal in humans. Not lethal in very rare cases, we’re talking “a visit to the ER with your only hope of survival being that you took it recently enough that you can get your stomach pumped” lethal. If you’re taking it in human-approved doses, it’s useless in fighting COVID. A medicine that only works when you give someone enough of it to kill them isn’t a very practical medicine. Unless you’ve got river blindness, or are concerned that someone might try to poison you with it in the future, but I don’t know if ivermectin is one of those poisons where mithridatism actually works.
